Buy ‘Le Power Adapter’ and call your ISP about remote access. I’m sure they have a local number for you to access from France.

France has special rules when bringing a laptop into the country. There are many software product forbibben.

There are no problems bringing a lap top into France. I cross the Atlantic several times each year.
Check with your internet service provider. They might have access numbers in France to get a dialup connection. If they don’t, you might consider signing on with AOL or compuserve for a month because they have access points everywhere.
