My wealth and income are up. My rich neighbor’s income and wealth are up by more. Am I “losing ground?”

This is the argument the Left makes on “income distribution” – people are better off than they were, but some people are “more better off than others.”

So if you have a satellite dish, high speed internet, a high definition TV, and have a bigger and better house and take better vacations than your parents, AND have a much higher liquid net worth, that somehow “doesn’t count” because some rich guy made all the same gains AND has a couple of yachts on top of it?

Should we care about how we are doing relative to how we used to be doing or otherwise would be doing or only relative to some rich guy?

Would you rather be WORSE off and have the rich guy go belly up?

What the heck… laptop acts like it has stuck keys…?

I am posting for an issue with my husband’s laptop. He has a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and recently it started acting up. If he hasn’t used it in a while, it will start right up and works perfectly for an hour, sometimes more… then it starts acting up. Example: he will be using the internet just fine for a while then he will click on the address bar to go to a website and it will just start typing letters, a random pattern of I, O, and U. He will then turn off the computer and turn it back on and when it gets to the Toshiba screen it will just beep and not go any further. He has tried cleaning the keys and he popped those keys off to clean them, but it hasn’t helped. He said that it doesn’t look like they are stuck though. Any thoughts?

Is anyone interested in designing an internet density map?

This map, I am speculating, will be spatial and have all topics on the internet in clusters like the world lit up in the night and seen from a satellite. Where there is more activity there would be more light. This light could be related to the number of page hits, or backlinks, or bytes of data or a mixture of all. It could be a map of the world wide web, spatially so that people can get a sense of where the most activity is and try and see the diversity of topics as well. A lot of people could get involved in this project. (or has this already been done? : p I guess not. There is an internet traffic report for networks but this would be different.
Thanks, If so whats the link please? And just because its there doesn’t mean it can’t be done better. After Yahoo there was Google. At any rate its not popular, while like google earth, it should be

Are any of the IPTV services any good? Adult content?

There seem to be several IPTV services found on the net at present that offer to transform your computer into a TV and give you access to 1000s of channels. Many offer a lifetime membership for $30 to $70. But I would hate to pay the money and find they are a scam. Here are some of the supposed providers:
www.watchonline.tv/
www.digitaltvonpc.com
www.real.com/superpass
free-satellite-network.com
www.eztv1.com/
www.tvonpcelite.com
www.sitereviewauthority.org/satellitetvelite
www.computertvonline.com/

Has anyone tried any of these? Any good? Adult content?

I am NOT asking about the other type of IPTV that delivers TV shows via internet to a desktop box connected to your TV.

I did try http://free-satellite-network.com myself as they had a 14 day free trial. Once I got into it, I could not ever seem to navigate my way into the movie section. I ended up canceling my membership rather than trying to catch their non-24 hour tech support.
