What mark or certification should i look in a product to ensure that the sound produced by is HiFi

Simple question (i hope). I have 2 RCA connections on the back of my TV, I know these are for connecting something like a HIFI. Will I be hear the sound from the xbox and digi box which are external devices?

Have a Mp3 1GB pen shaped player which I can plug into my HIFI and play my MP3 tracks just now. However I also have a USB 4GB stick which loaded with MP3 track won’t play on my HIFI. How do I get them to play for my USB stick do I have to download some software.
