I’m trying to set up my computer (broadband connection behind a router) to be a server for ftp file sharing, so I can access my home computer from out in the field. However, it seems like my computer is “invisible” from out in the field. I have the ip address of the router and I set up the router to forward ports 21,22, but still no connection. So why when I try to ping the router I get no response and if I try to do a port scan (out in the field) I see nothing. Why is that. Someone suggested the DMZ setting for the router, make sense?
I conntacted my provider (Comcast) they do not block those ports. Tried bypassing the router with direct connection, still I have a problem. I do have firewall software but I turned it of, perhaps I need to look at the software settings.

i keep getting a pop telling me my ip address and possible black worm attacks and buy win virus scanner pro,yada yada yada…. also the same about 5 pop ups keep coming up, of course of me being the 1,000,000th visiter. i have ran an ad-aware scan after getting updates, a norton 2003 updated scan and still keep coming ever1-2 mins. HELLPPPP!!!!
i have too much important stuff to format the drive and ad-aware has a good quality pop-up blocker built into it. i also us firedox and win xp sp2(i want to change but cant!!)
also its pop-ups outside of internet exploring not inside so i can be on the desktop and something comes up. it adaware pro is wat i have.
i know this sounds cheap but any free options other than format
just how do you put it into safe mode f7 or what is it
just so you know i ran spyware doctor and got 1104 infections!! and a further 30 from adaware after that!!

Hey yall
I’m on a dialup connection from home. Some administrator on some website keeps blocking me because he also chats in the room, and I oppose his views and make him look bad.

SO how do I block my IP address so that he doesn’t know it’s me? I want to keep adding new usernames and continue chatting, but he has me blocked at the moment.

I want to deactivate my facebook account, if someone wants to find me with my ip address, and my facebook is deactivated will they be able to find me?

so if i prank one of my friends with a fake facebook account, if i deactivate it now, she said that shell find who i am lolll if i deactivate it can she still find me somehow? im gonna tell her that its me but for not i dont want to

i live in one of the gulf states. they use some filter software or hardware to block access to certain sites. I would like to use a good fast free proxy server. please give me an ip address and port .. thanks
