i have been blocked from viewing a certain website, is there anyway of looking at the site, any way of changing my IP, how often do broadband isps change the users ip address?
im using a broadband with a router, would the modem trick still work?

I registered a domain name with Yahoo small business, but unable open it in china, my firend who in Malaysia can op it.is its ip blocked by china authority?

I connect to the internet throught a WLAN HotSpot (net-cologne.de) that has a partnership with my student residence. I get a 30 days account every month with a username and a password. It works exactly like any public HotSpot. I am behind a router or gateway because I get a NAT internal IP. There is no way for me to access the router’s settings to forward a port. I want to forward ports to make direct conections for gaming and p2p sofware (DC++) but I am pretty sure I can’t if I can’t access the router. Is there any way around it? Additionally, they block sometimes the SMTP port preventing me from sending email and many non-harmful sites are blocked (changing isp is not an option; I have no phone line)

Im trying to host files for people to download when they connect to a game server im hosting and want to make it faster using my computer as a server. So does anyone know a program to host the files and gives me a domain name usually with my ip? Ive seen people that have files hosted on there computer and use there IP as there domain.
My ip is static..lol i just need a server thats going to host 1 file thats it..

I have a server running windows 2000 server. It worked fine on our T1 line. I moved it to the cable modem, gave it a fixed IP and now it cannot get on the web. It seems to have internet access, as the application running can send and receive files over the internet. But it cannot access any web pages / gotomypc etc. Even atomic clock now says no internet access! I have checked the DNS numbers, IP, etc. Any ideas?
