I do have an always-on broadband connection (cable modem). iTunes works fine for everything else, but when I load a CD that I want to rip, it consistently tries and fails to connect to CDDB for the track and artist info. The error popup says something about making sure my server configuration is correct, but I have no idea how to diagnose the problem.

There are third-party programs out there that allow people to download other people’s iTunes songs through Wi-Fi networks. Can they monitor this, and have there been any reports of them suing for it?

i have an ipod nano 3g, and i bought some songs from itunes for it, and ofcourse, they are encrypted. i used itunes on windows. now i use linux, and because my ipod nano is authorized, i can manage the files with rythmbox, but i can’t play them on my computer…but ofcourse i can still play them on my ipod. my harddrive that i used windows and itunes in…well…i’ll just say it’s not working…but…can i authorize the itouch by signing into my itunes account through the wifi connection and then sync the mp4 files onto the itouch and still have them played? it sounds like one of those, “why wouldn’t you be able to?” questions, but…you never know…and i’d be pissed if i wasted 300 buckeroni’s and wouldn’t be able to play the music i payed for.
well it says you can go to the wifi itunes store right on the ipod touch. so i was thinking that it might authorize the other songs i bought. if i sign into the same account through the wifi. and also…i have absolutely no access to my windows OS anymore. i’m 100% linux. itunes should come out with a version for linux…it’s rediculous that they don’t.

I have about 345 songs downloaded into my itunes.I’d like to delete them off my computer.Computer has been slow lately,so I figured this would help.Any suggestions on how to pep up my computer a bit would be great.I have broadband cable,and I run windows xp. Thanks,Jean
