I dissconnected the ethernet cable and installed it onto my desktop, it works fine. My suspicion is I changed a setting or informsation concering my internet provider. Is there step by step information I may obtain to walk me through the needed info to get me back on line?

I while ago I was able to access the newsgroup from my Outlook Express. Can’t do it anymore. Any suggestions

Outlook express insists that my email password is incorrect. Yet, when I log into my email account manually via web browser, I have no trouble getting in. What’s worse, I never made any changes to my outlook express program. Help!

Did not give password when I installed outlook. Now I can’t get pass window asking for user name password and domain to use program.

ever since i installed win xp (pro) service pack 3, outlook asks me to compact messages. if i cancel, it just asks again a minute later.. so i have to do it. i’ve google searched this issue and it seems nobody knows what to do. there’s no option to change in outlook options. in the maintenance tab, i have “empty messages from the deleted items folder on exit”, “purge deleted messages when leaving imap folders” and under ‘when compacting messages’ it says “delete read message bodies in newsgroups” and “delete news messages __ days after being downloaded”. and there’s also a clean up now button for cleaning downloaded messages and a button called store folder. there’s nothing anywhere about turning compacting off.

it’s been a minor annoyance until lately, it’s been a big annoyance because it crashes the full screen game i play when it asks to compact. help, please. :/
it compacts even if i leave one little email in there. and it asks even if i have outlook closed. it doesn’t matter if the files are large or if there’s many. it asks like 5 times a day regardless.
