Can anyone recommend a good newsgroup provider? I know there are a ton of them out there nowadays and I used to use athenanews.com which had a 1GB daily limit for a mere $5.95 a month but their service has since become unreliable and I am looking for other options. Who has any good suggestions? Thanks in advance.

There are a ton of specs for monitors, which ones are important and which ones just make it cost more? I’d like to scrap my big monitor if I can find a good one.

i have a toshiba satellite which has overheating problems, so that’s something I would like to avoid in my new one. i dont need a ton of hard drive space, and i would prefer something on the smaller, lighter side. i’m comfortable with windows and mac os, so thats not an issue, but i’m kind of wary of ibooks just because there will be a ton of photo/video programs and junk on it i will never use. i just need microsoft office and the internet basically, and i am too lazy to do research on my own.

I live in a rural area and don’t have a ton of money so I’m stuck with dial up. The best connection I get is 26400 whatever. I use aol as isp for now. Which works better under these circumstances Firefox or Ie?
