802.11g 125 high speed network – Broadcom/Gateway doesn’t reach 125?

Windows XP Home. Buffalo PCI desktop wireless card, 125* capable. Belkin router, 125* capable. Gateway laptop 7422GX, with Broadcom wireless chip set, 125* capable.

In theory, a fully 125* capable environment will reach 125 Mbps. With just the desktop and router on, I get this. Add the laptop, and speeds drop to 54 or less. With just the laptop and router, still 54 (sometimes 48 or 36).

How to get the 125 speed on all? Afterburner setting enabled on desktop. Afterburner and Xpress enabled on laptop.

Windows 98 cannot connect to another Windows 98 via network.. HELP!!!?

I have 10 pcs running on Windows 98. last week I removed my primary server Windows NT for reformat. My Windows NT acts as a domain controller. I replaced my server with a Windows 2000 Server which runs on a workgroup.

When I tried to access another pc, the error message encountered are “There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request”.

- I have tried to standardize the workgroup name for all pcs.

- Removing the log in to WindowsNT domain.

- Try logging in using the same username and password in network password before logging in.

- Try pinging the individual nodes. There are response but when I tried connecting to it directly the same error message prompts out.

Please help.

Thank you so much for your patience and time ;o)

Domain to workgroup access problems.. Please help!!!?

I recently took a server(WinNT) to reformat. The server is a domain controller and thus controls the authentication of all users. When I took the server to reformat, I replace my server with a secondary server(windows 2000 server). That server(Windows 2000) is running on a workgroup environment.

When all the clients(Windows 98) tried to link to another client(Windows 98) This error message received : “There are currently no logon servers to service the logon request”.

These are the actions that I have taken:

- I have logon the individual clients(Windows 98 Network password – same username and password for both)

- Disable the Log in to WindowsNT domain.

- Change the same workgroup name for all the users.

- Check all the IP Address(all of the users can ping one another)

Despite all that, it still displayed the same error message.

Please help. Thanks so much.

Windows Vista key problems?

I am having trouble with Windows Vista. I just need 1 key, but every time I view it I can’t save it, and it’s a different key. I’m up to the point where the Microsoft server thinks I want more than 3 keys, so it won’t let me view keys anymore, but I just need the 1! Can someone tell me how to retrieve the key? (I know web browser History doesn’t work)
